The Junior section is run by two trained ECB UKCC1 cricket coaches Jez Howell and Carl Jacobs supported by Claire Allen as the section’s administrator. Jez Howell is also the club’s Child Protection Officer who is specifically responsible for the safeguarding of our junior members. We also aim to make use of some of our talented adult cricketers (we do have some) who will be invited to assist Jez and Carl with the coaching of specific skills
The coaching will be open to junior members only and we will be restricted to a maximum of 18 children under the age of 13 (school years 7 & 8) and 18 children under the age of 11 (school years 5 & 6 only). We are limited to this number as the ECB recommends a coach-to-child ratio of a maximum of 1 to 8. Weekly coaching sessions will be run from the end of April through to the end of July.
